How to Choose the Best Size Front Range Harness for your Dog

Dog in-between sizes? Choose the larger size.
| Size | Dog's Chest/Girth Measure |
| XXS | 33 - 43cm (13-17") |
| XS | 43 - 56cm (17-22") |
| S | 56 - 69cm (22-27") |
| M | 69 - 81cm (27-32") |
| L/XL | 81 - 107cm (32-42") |
Have a young dog/puppy that is still growing? To help work out what size might be best for your growing pup:
- Hold the tape measure around your dog's chest at the max measure for the size they fit currently. E.g., if your pup currently sits in a size Small (56-69cm), then hold the tape measure around their chest at 69cm.
- This will show you how much 'growth room' that size harness has, but also will show you how much the next size up will tighten to.
Why dogs & their people love the Front Range Harness:
-
2 leash attachment points (back clip & front clip) - a strong aluminum V-ring centered on the back for everyday walks. Plus a reinforced webbing chest clip that can be used for training by redirecting dogs that pull.
- Easy to put on/take off - just slip over your dog's head, then clip the 2 side buckles
- 4-point adjustment fit - securely fits most shapes & sizes.
-
Reflective trim - visibility in low light conditions. Also a light loop to attach The Beacon light to boost visibility.
- Light foam padding - comfortable for all-day wear, minimises the chance of rubbing.
- ID Pocket - to store dog tags
Training your dog not to pull? Here's how the Front Range Harness can help!
The Front Range Harness has a reinforced webbing lead attachment point on the chest that can be used alongside proper training techniques, such as voice and reward training techniques, to help deter pulling. The idea behind this is that if a dog pulls too hard when the lead is attached to the chest, it will direct them towards you (like reins on a horse). Hence, your dog may learn that pulling does not get them where they want to be. Ruffwear have a great article that goes into this in further detail - Exploring Politely On-Leash
